POSTERS

My concept is to create a work that promotes small scale industries. My work includes of many guerilla posters that asks the people to depend more on small scale industries rather than large scale industries. Not only that the people working in small scale industries gets jobless because of large scale industries but also that the products made by the large scale vendors are deceptive and is a silent killer.

So the media used by me to convey this important message to people is posters. I wish to make a quick impact on the minds of ignorant people by the use of catches illustrations and memorable slogans. Within this I am concentrating on the people who sell vegetables, fruits and other eatable materials.

I would to include here some of the slogans which I am using in my poster.

Breakfast at Chai Kadai.

I would walk a mile for Chai Kadai.

You are not just a customer; we are not just a seller.

It’s our shop.

Save your money.

Artificial food looks tastier than real food.

Blind imitation kills the culture.

Strength:

Weakness:

1. There is no legal support.

2. Difficult to change peoples mind, because these kind of purchase become their lifestyle.

3. Some small scale sellers dropping their business and shift to other jobs.

4. Supporting only the small scale sellers. One sided view of the market.

5. They don’t have the capability to deal with too many customers at a time.

DESIGN BRIEF 13 8 2010

DESIGN BRIEF

13-8-2010

Chalk out an accessible space

Look in to this space and find creative opportunities

I selected my space, the space what I select was chayakkade in front of Srishti.

I think about the open class room, meeting ground and open class

And the posters also for advertise them

16-8- 2010

Initial round of research to focus

Refine and redefine the above finding

Wright a project brief

I stick to my poster idea, I redefine the idea, the idea is, now a day the people avoiding, the vegetable sellers the chayakkade people and they are depending the wholesalers and big malls. This entire process is initiated by big business owners who consider these small (low overhead businesses) as threats. So I need to change the peoples’ mindsets by using posters. I dropped the open class room idea but I would like to use the same space to do a pilot project on guerilla posters.

End of the day I submitted the project brief, and the thought is about the Guerilla posters.

17-8- 2010

Assess the project brief In terms of its inherent potentials and constraints

Ability to understand your scope of work

Strength weakness and opportunities and threats

18-8- 2010

Identify appropriate information sources

This will include study of existing models

19-8- 2010

Identify appropriate strategies to dig out real information

Analysis and evaluate available data to find essential requirements. Create tools

21-8- 2010

Convert key findings to definite goals

Ability to create design brief

From your goals create a time line and list of responsibilities and outline

A resource management system

23-8- 2010

Workshops and discussions

Convert ideas to concept using evaluation method

24-8- 2010

Present personal evaluation.

Narrow down to final solution

Present it using visual language things

26-8- 2010

Create a prototype or final representation of your solution making

informed choice of medium and material.

27-8- 2010

FEEDBACKS

The money earning exercise; what are its outcomes?

The main out come is money , and the important part I observed is the customers needs and their behavior ,if you are doing a business you have to consider the consumer because they are the money source, Before this course I am only think about my needs and values ,but after this course I started think like a business man.

Role play

If I am doing a vegetable sellers business I am started to behave like a retailer , so now I am playing like a retailer .I observe his movement and my thoughts also like a retailer .

Ergonomics

Ergonomics is a science of designing job. I think the movement will decrease when he got more experience. If he got more experience he is reduce the movement and finally stick to only some kind of action for don his job. The most of the material designed by based on ergonomics.

How it’s a research tool

If you want to design a material so you can observe which person is going to to use this and what kind of ergonomics are happening , then we can research on that and make a product. In the case of a keyboard there is lot of ergonomics happening.

What kind of user understanding does ergonomics provide?

It’s about the creation of future work. Ergonomics measure the lots of body part movements. Ergonomics show the better understanding of the process.

What is a scenario or persona, what are the advantages of creating them?

Persona means we are creating stories on the spot of the situation. The advantages of persona are we can survive in every circumstance. Persona will increase our imagination skill
The scenario is the description of series of action and events. I think it’s a planning for the future.
If we want to do the both things we have to do lot of planning of that situation

What are the advantages of a matrix as a research tool?

Matrix will show the value and needs of one material. We can show it big and small.

In the case of matrix numerics are using for understanding the value and needs of a product. Matrix is a key tool for understanding the one particular product.

Give two examples of second level understandings from Mara Sandra village based on your own reflective judgment.

The pot makers and sculpture makers using clay for the raw material, actually they are not paying anything for that clay. If one pot is crashed they will reproduce the pot.
